Lemon-basil and Watermelon Frosty!

Yesterday's post may have seemed complex, but this morning I made a very simple, but very delicious recipe with only 3 ingredients - lemon-basil, watermelon, and ice (does that count as an ingredient?).  This drink is so refreshing!  You may not have access to lemon-basil, in which case you can substitute regular basil, which still complements the watermelon well, but if you can find it, the lemon-basil adds an amazing citrusy tang that pairs with the watermelon so nicely.

Lemon-basil and Watermelon Frosty

Ingredients:

Watermelon - about 1-inch round of a large melon
Lemon-basil - about 1 small handful
Ice - anywhere from a few cubes to a few cups, depending on how cold and slushy you want it.

Instructions:
Blend ingredients together until ice is crushed finely. Pour into glasses and serve.
Makes 3-4 small servings (as shown in the picture) or a couple larger glasses.

This frosty is just right for a hot summer day!  We haven't had too many of those this summer, but this is too simple and too delicious to let that stop me from making it when we have watermelon in the house. I hope you enjoy it! :)

In other news, my friends and I just got back from playing the Real Escape Game in Toronto!  We were locked in a room and needed to find objects and solve puzzles to try to escape. We didn't successfully make it out within the hour, but we had a lot of fun!
